City Holds Public Meeting to Discuss Entertainment District Pilot Program

The City of Long Beach will hold a public meeting to ask for feedback on its Entertainment District Pilot Program on Wednesday November 5, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers. 

The meetings is being held to gather feedback from business operators and residents for City Council evaluation of the pilot program. Business owners and residents will be asked to discuss any concerns they have on noise, traffic, security or other concerns.

The meeting agenda will include discussion of the status of the Entertainment District, Police and Community Development updates and an open forum.

The Long Beach City Council approved the Downtown Entertainment District Pilot Program on January 17, 2006, which was established to standardize entertainment permits, including closing hours, noise and security requirements and other items. 

The public is invited to attend the meeting on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers at 333 West Ocean Boulevard.
